The Bridge Program
Quality Basic Adult Education in the Community
- Monday through Friday daytime classes at Hope Community in three ten-week sessions each year.
- Two levels of reading and writing, two levels of math, and basic computer skills.
- Volunteer tutors help teachers individualize learning.
- Some students have high school degrees and need more skills, many students are working on a GED or other certification. Some have been out of school for many years.
- We work to maintain a diverse classroom environment with a mix of American born and immigrant students working at the same level. Students are from 19 to over 60 years of age.
- Currently over 60 students are registered.
Information and Registration
This is a tuition free program, although students pay for their own books and materials. The Bridge offers full and part-time options for eight week quarters in the fall, winter and spring.
