Partnerships
Early Childhood and Family Education (ECFE)
Through a community partnership with the Early Childhood and Family Education (ECFE) program of the Minneapolis Public Schools, Hope has been able to create a public power space for young children and their parents.
Together, Hope and ECFE offer opportunities for parents and their pre-school children to learn and play together, share insights and support, and build towards school readiness and success. Connecting with others, parents support their child’s development as well as their own. Coming together in a community setting provides families an opportunity to develop their public life.
College House Collaboration
Through a collaborative partnership with Project for Pride in Living, Hope Community is able to provide opportunites for neighborhood children to build their power through learning.
Four college students live together in a Hope Community house, and each works intensively during the school year with two children from the neighborhood. Students and tutors join with other youth at Hope for monthly field trips and other activities.
