Program Assistant Intern for Learning in Community Program
Position begins Summer, 2009

The Program Assistant Intern volunteers with Hope’s Learning in Community program to help create an encouraging and supportive community environment in which children build confidence about their ability to learn as they develop literacy skills. Focusing on children ages 6-9, the program pairs adult volunteers with children in a variety of activities including reading, writing, and storytelling. Volunteers include parents, other adults from the community, pre-service teachers-in-training, and other adults who care about children, literacy, and community.This is a volunteer internship.
