Application Process

Hope Community is building a community where individuals and families can work together and support each other to make a difference in their lives and in their neighborhood.

Hope Community’s property management team, Property Solutions & Services, welcomes the opportunity to serve you and your family.  We offer affordable clean and safe housing to qualifying individuals and families.  Our rents are usually lower than most market-rate units, offering high quality units at affordable prices.

Our office is located in the ground level of The Jourdain. To enter, please page us using the outdoor phone and you will be buzzed in. Our office hours are M-F, 8:30-5:00 (phone) and our DROP-IN HOURS are M-F 1:00-5:00.


Our application process is as follows:

  • You must fully complete the application and bring it in person to our property management office at 2006 Portland Ave. S. When turning in the application, each adult applying must be present and must bring a picture ID (state- or federally-issued). You must also bring an application fee of $35 per adult applying, up to a maximum fee of $70.
  • We review the application to see if applicant meets income requirements for the size unit requested, income eligibility will be determined (see chart)
  • If applicant is income-qualified the Property Manager will call and set-up an interview.

Resident Selection Criteria:

  • A rental history we can verify
  • History of paying rent and utilities on time and the ability to pay currently
  • History of good housekeeping habits
  • History of cooperation with management regarding policies and adhering to lease terms
  • No criminal record relating to physical violence of persons or property  or any other criminal acts which would adversely affect the healthy, safety or welfare of other residents.
  • Drug Free, Crime Free addendum
  • Ability to provide necessary documentation to support application process
