Hope’s work creates an environment that has multiple opportunities where people can engage around their interests. Intensie year-round adult learning opportunities at Hope:
Personal Empowerment Training
A 24-hour personal empowerment training helps people build and use emotional intelligence skills proven to be important in career, family and educational settings. Following the training, a 6-month follow-up program supports participants as they take steps to reach economic goals they have named as a result of the training. Now accepting spring registrations 2014!
SPEAC: Sustainable Progress through Engaging Active Citizens
SPEAC is an eight month community organizing and leadership training for adults. SPEAC leaders share a commitment to making change in their community through community organizing.The group continues to work on engaging community residents and addressing issues of equity including challenging the lack of resources at Peavey Park, located a block from Hope.
Neighborhood Entrepreneur Training Program
Hope partners with Neighborhood Development Center to offer a 16-week training to adults who want to start or expand a small business. Every year, graduates tell us it is exactly what they needed to get their feet on the ground and move forward with their business idea.
